Longer term, we intend to work on a new artistic direction for the game and move to a new engine, with Unreal Engine our initial goal. With that being the initial goal, we’re looking for a programmer with C++ experience to make this a reality. We’re happy to get anyone that is interested in helping involved with our project, but our current priority is to create a prototype in Unreal Engine 4 to really get things moving. We offer freedom in ball control, gameplay depth and movement that is unparalleled in the soccer/football game genre. We always want to be a free to play, competitive third-person online multiplayer soccer game. We’re committed to keeping the core values of our game intact. We released the current (Source SDK 2007) version of the game on Steam Early Access in June 2018, and have had over 100,000 downloads, with communities of players in Europe, Korea, South America as well as a smaller North American community. The game was ported to the Source Engine and re-released in 2008, and has been further developed over the following decade to get to the state it is now. The game was originally released back in 2003 under the name International Online Soccer as a Half-Life mod. Our website is which gives an idea about where we currently are with things. Modders can tweak the game any way they want starting from maps and ending with goalkeeper's gloves. We’re the team behind IOSoccer, trying to lift our current Source based game up to new heights. IOSoccer also makes it possible to switch between playable characters on the fly delegating their manipulation back to AI when needed. The game allows participation from 1 to 11 players. You can upgrade your skills whether in warm-up mode or during regular matches with other players. Some missed chances can be reverted using intermissions. The best goals can be reviewed in instant replays and highlights. The game features unique ball movement that combines mouse, keyboard, and the third-person camera view. You can even come up with a personal goal celebration and assigned it to your soccer teammates. Apart from that, there are a lot of other adjustments to outfits and characters' appearance. You can choose the number and the name on your character's shirt. At its core, it's a free-to-play third-person online multiplayer soccer simulator. Later it was rewritten with a new dev team who utilized the Source engine and presented it in its current game title. IOSoccer was previously known as International Online Soccer and was a Half-Life mod made by a small group of indie developers.
